Tonight is our last ever rehearsal for the foreseeable future at the Derby Engineer’s Club. We’d like to thank Keith and all the staff at the club for looking after us and our equipment, and helping us make this our home for so many years. The club and everyone there will be sorely missed.

Appeal from Derby Concert Band for New Rehearsal Venue
Derby Concert Band is looking for a new rehearsal space after the announcement that The Engineers Club on Osmaston Road, Derby, is set to close on 22nd June. The 60-person symphonic wind band has been rehearsing weekly at the club for over 10 years.
Derby Concert Band is appealing to the public for recommendations of a suitable venue for weekly rehearsals. A suitable space would be a small- to medium-sized hall with good acoustics and storage space for the band‘s sheet music and large percussion section. Car parking facilities are also necessary due to the large number of members. In return, the band will pay reasonable room hire charges. If a bar is available, we will happily be there for a drink during the break.
Derby Concert Band has been practising and performing music in and around Derbyshire for over 30 years and looks forward to playing for many more. It’s with great sadness that we leave our current home and our thoughts are with The Engineers Club, its management, members and other music groups who meet there. If anyone runs a venue suitable for our future rehearsals or can suggest anywhere, please contact the band by email: email@example.com or by phone: 07580 676176
