Our spring concert is on Saturday 28th March and is entitled One Night Only after the song from the show Dream Girls.![]()
In addition to the title song, the programme will include well known show tunes from the greats such as Leonard Bernstein, Irvine Berlin and ABBA. ![]()
All this set in the historically interesting St Werberg’s Church in Derby – founded in the 6th century but collapsed and rebuilt in 1601 and later years. The church is adjacent to the Bold Lane Parksafe Systems carpark.![]()

We will assume that you have already bought your tickets for our Christmas concert in Derby Cathedral. ![]()
You will see that we also have an event coming up in St Werburgh’s on 28th March. This is an amazing venue. Dr Samuel Johnson, more usually associated with Cubley and Ashbourne, was married there. The architecture is unusual. The tower ajoins the chancel but there is no access between them. Don’t worry, you are unlikely to find yourself in the wrong part of the church as the tower is normally locked. ![]()

It is only October but Christmas is coming. The wine rack is full, the fruit is being packed for storage and the band will be getting their Christmas music next week. ![]()
The Christmas Concert is always a sell-out and ticket sales are going well so don’t put off getting yours.

It’s a super venue – there will be cabaret seating, there’s a large bar and of course Derby Concert Band.
It is only August but the top fruit is ripening already so it isn’t too early to remind folks of our Autumn Concert at the Rolls-Royce Pavilion. Tickets are available as usual on TicketSource.
The band have had an awesome weekend in Germany with our dear friends at Musikverein Limbach. More to come on that in the coming days. First though, yesterday evening we performed at The Menin Gate in Ypres as part of their daily Remembrance Tribute. It has been a real honour for us to take part in such a poignant and moving event.
