Appeal from Derby Spectrum Winds for New Rehearsal Venue
Derby Spectrum Winds is looking for a new rehearsal space after the announcement that The Engineers Club on Osmaston Road, Derby, is set to close on 22nd June. The 25-person wind band has been rehearsing weekly at the club for over since it’s conception.
Derby Spectrum Winds is appealing to the public for recommendations of a suitable venue for weekly rehearsals. A suitable space would be a small- to medium-sized hall with good acoustics and storage space for the band‘s sheet music and large percussion section. Car parking facilities are also necessary. In return, the band will pay reasonable room hire charges.
Derby Spectrum Winds has been practising and performing music in and around Derbyshire since 2007 and looks forward to playing for many more. It’s with great sadness that we leave our current home and our thoughts are with The Engineers Club, its management, members and other music groups who meet there.
